ETHICAL SUPPLY CHAIN

Since 2011, before it was even fashionable, we committed to an ethical supply chain. We continue to innovate. We have started using fabrics made from recycled plastics. We offer a vegan assortment. We continue to add innovations as they become available.

Consequently, our shoes and heels are unapologetically a little more expensive than less values-driven brands. They are high quality, built to last, elegant and infinitely wearable. It’s an investment in a product that is better for the planet, for people and for you.

WHO MAKES OUR SHOES?

EC0-MINDED MATERIALS

Our fabrics and leathers come from Italy and Portugal. Our shoe leathers are part of the food chain, so we do not use animal leathers bred for their skins.

Tanya selects upcycled, interesting, unused leathers from French and Italian luxury houses for our heel leathers.

Our leather supplier is approved by The Leather Working Group in recognition of its commitment to sustainability.

HANDMADE BY ARTISANS

Our shoes, soles and heels are made in Portugal in a family-owned factory that pays a real working wage and respects European labor and safety standards.  Every pair of shoes is hand-finished by an expert artisan.

The same is true of our sub-suppliers; our memory foam which keeps you cushioned as you walk comes from Italy and costs more than an entire pair of shoes that are made in China.

LABOR & SAFETY

Our factory respects European labor and safety standards. The commitment to expert artisans means you don’t have to worry about sweatshop work conditions.

It has always been important for Tanya that we do not exploit people to make something cheap and disposable.
